Troubleshooting of accumulator

In case of short holding time and clamping failure, the causes are low inflation pressure, leakage of adjacent components of the accumulator, and low maximum working pressure of the accumulator. The first two are the main reasons. In case of failure to replenish oil for acceleration, rapid injection and pressurization, the reasons are generally high inflation pressure, low maximum working pressure of the accumulator and leakage of adjacent components of the accumulator. In fact, there are many failures caused by the first two reasons at the same time.

 

When the accumulator fails to mitigate hydraulic shock and absorb pressure pulsation, the main reason is that the inflation pressure is too low.


Through analysis, it is determined that the cause of the failure is improper inflation pressure. First, the pressure oil in the accumulator should be sent to measure the air pressure in the accumulator for diagnosis. Secondly, find out the specific fault source for troubleshooting. When the measured inflation pressure is low, it may be that the set value is too low or the inflation may be insufficient. It may also be that the accumulator inflation nozzle leaks, the leather bag is broken, the piston seal is poor, etc., which shall be determined through monitoring. When the measured inflation pressure is high, it may be caused by excessive inflation or environmental conditions.


When it is determined that the maximum working pressure of the accumulator is inappropriate, first try to measure the maximum working pressure of the accumulator to verify. If the maximum working pressure of the accumulator is too low, the hydraulic pump may be faulty or the hydraulic pump may be empty. It may also be due to improper pressure regulation, failure of pressure valve and pressure regulating device, or leakage of relevant hydraulic components, which may cause the system pressure and the maximum working pressure of the accumulator to be too low or too high, or it may directly cause the maximum working pressure of the accumulator to be too high or too low.


When it is determined that the fault is caused by leakage of hydraulic components, the hydraulic components adjacent to the accumulator shall be determined first. Among these hydraulic components, leakage faults of one-way valves, hydraulic control one-way valves, various directional valves and hydraulic cylinders are more common. The leakage is probably caused by the loose sealing of the valve core and valve seat, the valve core is stuck and cannot be closed, the wear causes large gap free relative movement, and the sealing element fails. All suspicious components shall be sequenced according to the difficulty of monitoring and the probability of failure, and then monitored in order to determine the leaking fault components. Finally, disassemble the faulty components for inspection and maintenance.


For the faults caused by improper inflation pressure and maximum working pressure of the accumulator, the suspected fault sources are also ranked according to the above principles.


Among the three causes of inflation pressure, maximum working pressure of accumulator and leakage of adjacent components, if it is preliminarily determined that there are more than two causes, it can also be detected according to the difficulty of monitoring and the probability of failure. Generally speaking, the maximum working pressure of the accumulator is more convenient than the inflation pressure. The component leakage is difficult to measure, and some leakage is very straight.
