The aluminum bottles shall be visually inspected one by one to check whether there are defects such as dents, pits, bulges, damages, cracks, interlayers, corrosion or burns on the surface.
When the cylinder has a depression, the maximum depression depth shall be measured. The ruler should be placed along the axis of the aluminum bottle, and the arc template should be placed along the circumference. When measuring with a ruler. The length of the ruler shall be greater than five times the maximum diameter of the depression; When measuring with an arc template, the arc length of the template should be greater than 1/3 of the circumference of the aluminum bottle
If the maximum depth of the depression exceeds 1.5mm, exceeds 1.0% of the nominal diameter of the aluminum bottle or exceeds 1/40 of the depression diameter, it shall be scrapped.
When the cylinder has bulges, if the circumference of the cylinder increases by 1.0%, it shall be scrapped
In case of damage, dent or linear corrosion on the outer wall, first grind the edge of the defect to make it smooth transition with the surrounding wall, and then measure the depth of the damage, dent or corrosion with a ruler and dial indicator. If the residual wall thickness at the defect is less than 90% of the design wall thickness, it shall be scrapped.
The defects that do not meet the scrapping conditions shall be grinded to make the edges transition smoothly, but the residual wall thickness after grinding shall not be less than 90% of the design wall thickness.
The bottle shall be scrapped if there are cracks or delaminations visible to the naked eye
Aluminum bottles with arc scar, welding mark or open fire barbecue damage to metal shall be scrapped.
If there is a spot corrosion defect on the bottle body, the corrosion depth shall be measured, and the residual wall thickness shall be less than 80% of the design wall thickness, which shall be judged as waste.
: If there is a spot corrosion defect on the bottle body, the corrosion depth shall be measured, and the residual wall thickness shall be less than 90% of the design wall thickness, which shall be judged as waste.
Measure the cylinder roundness, straightness and perpendicularity. Aluminum bottles with roundness exceeding 2%, straightness exceeding 4 ‰ and 5 mm or verticality exceeding 8 ‰ shall be scrapped.
